While we were at Lake Eufaula over Memorial Weekend, our bulldog, Tank, died. We had a house/dogsitterthat found him and called to let us know. We were surprised because we thought we had gotten him healthy. He had been looking beautiful(for a bulldog!) The vet told us he had underlying problems, but I guess we didn't believe him. We felt terrible for Julie the dogsitter. Thankfully Jeremy's amazing friend came over to bury him so the kids wouldn't have to see. What makes this even more tragic and bizarre is that my brother's bulldog, Sadie, who was Tank's sister passed away the same weekend. She had no known health problems. it was like a double punch in the gut!
